Robert Englund to Guest-Star on ‘Supernatural’ on CW
Great news for TV viewers! According to the Ausiello Files reports that ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ star as well as the all-round super-scary person, Robert Englund! Robert Englund has signed on to guest star on ‘Supernatural,’ a popular satellite TV show on DISH Network channel The CW. However, it seems that Englund might be playing a different role as his character is going to try to save one of the Winchesters and not trying to kill him. Hmmm…Interesting!
According to sources Englund is going to play a character known as “Dr. Robert.” Executive producer Sera Gamble has explained that “Hunters often find themselves in situations where they need medical attention but can’t exactly stroll into an ER. … Robert plays an unlicensed doc who makes his living stitching folks up on the down low. One of our guys goes to him with a life-or-death problem.”
Englund has shot to fame in the1980s while starring as the disfigured slasher Freddy Krueger in the movie franchise of ‘Nightmare on Elm Street‘. Recently he has guest-starred as a scary janitor on ‘Bones,’ and is also going to appear as the nightmare-inducing villain, Dr. Stanley, in the Halloween-themed episode of ‘Chuck’, that is to be aired next week. So, watch out for Englund as “Dr. Robert’ in ‘Supernatural‘. The episode in which he will be starring is going to air on Dec 10.
